Welcome to GadRock!  Our mission is to provide a fun place to train and to encourage an adventurous spirit of exploration.  Our facility is for both experienced climbers to hone their skills or where someone who has never experienced the sport can learn in a safe environment.  We have several different courses that are tailored for every skill level between beginner and advanced, some offering wonderful views of Lake Gadsden and the Coosa River while you climb.

Our Courses

Completely indoors, our walls are textured to simulate the feeling of climbing on real rock. The routes up the wall are marked with different colored holds, which indicate the level of difficulty.  We also feature plenty of room for climbers to warm up and stretch, as well as equipment rentals, including climbing shoes and harnesses. You don’t need to have your own equipment to join in on the fun.  If it’s your first time, we have instructors available to teach new climbers the basics of the sport.

Parties and Groups

Indoor rock climbing is a popular activity for people of all ages and abilities, and is often seen as a fun and challenging way to get exercise and build strength and endurance. It can also be a great social activity, as climbers often work together to help each other reach the top of the wall.  GadRock microgym packs a lot of fun into a small footprint!  We currently have over 4500 square feet of climbing, but with more planned in the future.  GadRock is also a perfect place to hold birthday parties, featuring a large room that’s perfect for your party, fitness class, or other personal use.

More Than Climbing

While in between climbing and workouts, relax and catch your breath on our outdoor deck and dock area.  Or, enjoy one of our paddleboard sessions.  Our location on beautiful Lake Gadsden is an extension of our indoor space.  Weather permitting we will open the huge garage style doors at the back of the facility for unobstructed views of the lake.  Taking full advantage of our location directly on the water, our stand up paddle boarding is available with tours Memorial day through Labor Day.  You may even want to join one of our unique fitness classes like ClimbFit, SUP Yoga and SUPfit.
